NO GZAF CLUB AT YOUR SCHOOL? CREATE YOUR OWN.
In this guide we’ll help you navigate the steps you’ll (likely) need to take in order to establish a GZAF chapter at your school. Please note that each school operates differently so the process may look slightly different depending on your school.
school requirements
Before you can apply to get your club chartered you must find out what your school requires for new charters. Often the requirements will be something along the lines of: a meeting room, an advisor willing to supervise meetings, a meeting time, bylaws, and a list of officers in charge of the club. You’ll likely have to write out a mission statement or objective for the club as well. Pay close attention to deadlines for each school year!
2. FIND MEMBERS
Next you will want to find your first members. Some schools may have a minimum of sign-ups before allowing you to be chartered. We recommend asking your friends, spreading the word and looking for people who have likeminded interests.
