DOMIZIO BECONCINI

Domizio is the founder of GenZ Against Fakes, an initiative empowering young people to understand the risks of counterfeit products and the importance of intellectual property rights. He founded the organization to bring peer-to-peer anti-counterfeiting education to schools and universities, working alongside leading institutions and industry organizations. He is currently pursuing his bachelor’s degree at Fordham University in New York.

PAOLO BECONCINI

Legal Advisor

For nearly 30 years, Paolo has helped U.S. and European companies protect their brands and inventions from counterfeiting and intellectual property infringement. Working alongside government agencies, rights holders, and investigators, he has seen firsthand that enforcement alone cannot solve the problem. He supports GenZ Against Fakes and its mission to educate young people about the broader risks and consequences of counterfeit goods.

EMILIE JOSEPHINE MENTRUP

Emilie holds a Juris Doctor from USC Gould School of Law, where she was a Senior Membership Editor of the Review for Law and Social Justice and wrote the law review article The High Cost of Low-Price Products: Criminalizing Counterfeit Influencing on Social Media. Emilie is passionate about brand protection and anti-counterfeiting and has served on the Women in IP Committee of the Los Angeles Intellectual Property Law Association. She has spent significant time in the world of fashion and luxury, including working for The Fashion Law.

Brian Bardelli is a high school student and founder of The Next Bench Project, a student-led initiative focused on practical legal education and career exposure for young people. He is also involved in youth-focused intellectual property education through GenZAgainstFakes.

A high school junior in Los Angeles, Joshua has a strong interest in law, advocacy, and public service. He participates in mock trial and moot court and volunteers with local VITA programs, helping community members file their taxes at no cost.

Aspiring to become a lawyer, he is passionate about using advocacy to create positive change in his community.
